Privacy Policy
Last updated: 15 June 2026
Sentira is operated by SCALA the Training Company (RTO 60101) (“SCALA”, “we”, “us”). We are bound by the Australian Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs). This policy explains how we handle your personal information.
What we collect
When you contact us or request a walkthrough through this website, we collect the information you provide: your name, email address, and optionally your organisation and role. If you complete an assessment, we collect your responses and the results generated from them. We also collect limited technical information necessary to operate and secure the site.
If you choose to provide optional personal context to personalise your AI coaching — such as your role, your field, or a development goal in your own words — we also collect and handle that information as described under “How your AI coaching works” below. Providing this context is always optional.
Why we collect it
We collect personal information to respond to your enquiry, provide and improve our assessments and services, and — only where you have given consent — to send you relevant updates. You are not required to identify yourself for general browsing of this site.
How your AI coaching works
Some Sentira features generate written reflections and coaching suggestions for you using artificial intelligence. These are created automatically from your assessment results and any optional context you choose to share (for example, your role, your field, and a development goal in your own words).
This is an automated process. The AI reflects back patterns in the information you give it. It does not make any decision that has a legal or similarly significant effect on you, it is not a clinical assessment or a professional opinion, and it does not label, rank, or classify you. It is provided for your own development only.
Any context you share to personalise your coaching is private to you. It is stored so that only you can retrieve it, and it is not visible to your employer, your manager, or anyone else in your organisation. If you would like a person to look into anything the AI has produced, or to correct or delete the information you have shared, contact us at the address below.
Automated decision-making and AI
Sentira produces two kinds of computer-generated output. Your assessment scores are calculated by fixed, deterministic scoring rules from the answers you give. Your coaching insights and development suggestions are generated by artificial intelligence. From 10 December 2026, the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) requires us to describe automated processes like these, and this section is that description.
To generate these outputs we use your assessment responses, together with any optional profile context you choose to share (for example, your role, your field, or a development goal in your own words). Nothing else feeds them.
These outputs are personal development guidance only. They are never a diagnosis, never a performance rating, and never provided to an employer at an individual level. Sentira does not use them to make any decision that has a legal or similarly significant effect on you, and they do not determine any legal right, employment outcome, access to services, or benefit.
You stay in control. You can turn AI coaching off for each instrument in your account settings, withdraw and delete your data at any time, or contact us at privacy@sentira.com.au. We will update this section if we introduce automated processes that produce decisions of greater significance to your rights or interests.
AI processing and overseas disclosure
Requests to generate your coaching are processed in Australia by Amazon Web Services (AWS Bedrock, Sydney region, ap-southeast-2). If that Australian service is temporarily unavailable, and only where you have given consent at that time, your request may instead be processed by Anthropic in the United States. We do not otherwise disclose your coaching content overseas. Under our current agreements with these providers, your coaching inputs and outputs are not used to train AI foundation models; we will update this policy if those terms change.
How long we keep your coaching information
We keep the context you share and the coaching generated from it for as long as your account is active and for the duration of the calibration trial, so that your coaching can track your progress over time. You can ask us to delete it at any time, through the “My Data” controls in your account or by contacting us. We aim to action deletion requests within 72 hours, and in any event within the timeframe required by the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
Where you withdraw from the calibration trial, we will delete your coaching context and AI-generated coaching content within this period. Aggregated or de-identified data derived from your responses, from which you cannot be identified, may be retained for research purposes.
Marketing and consent
We will only send you marketing communications if you have expressly consented (for example, by ticking the consent box on a form). You can withdraw consent at any time by using the unsubscribe link in any such message or by contacting us. We comply with the Spam Act 2003 (Cth).
Who we disclose it to
We use trusted third-party service providers to operate Sentira — including hosting, database, and email-delivery providers. Some of these providers, and the infrastructure they use, may store or process your information outside Australia, including in the United States. We take reasonable steps to ensure these providers handle your information consistently with the APPs. The general overseas infrastructure disclosure in this section applies to hosting, database, authentication, and communication services. It does not apply to your AI coaching content, which is handled as described in “AI processing and overseas disclosure” above. We do not sell your personal information.
Security
We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, loss, and unauthorised access, including access controls, encryption in transit, and row-level security on our databases. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Accessing and correcting your information
You may request access to the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct it, by contacting us at the address below. We will respond within a reasonable period and in accordance with the APPs.
Complaints
If you believe we have breached the Australian Privacy Principles, you can make a complaint by contacting us. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au.
